Resolved - On May 23, 2026 from 5:28 AM to 6:47 AM PDT (~79 minutes), the Index/Upload API, Embed API (Marengo 3.0 - Video), Analyze API, and Asset API experienced a major outage.
Customers attempting to create indexes, upload videos, embed videos with Marengo 3.0, run analyze tasks, or create assets received HTTP 5xx errors. List, search, and most read endpoints remained available with brief intermittent errors during peak load. The issue was caused by a database query that triggered cluster-wide instability on our primary database. Our team mitigated the issue by cutting over to a healthy database cluster and reconciled all data written during the impact window. No customer data was lost. We have begun work to prevent recurrence, including query fixes and additional database monitoring.
